Fantasy looks a little ridiculous compared to the seriousness of 40k

But 40k doesn't have skaven
BIGGEST SAD EVER.

Skaven are Fantasy only. I also really like the Wood elves from Fantasy and the Lizardmen but they are also fantasy only. I mean 40k has their own onlys but these are a pretty big loss if you ask me for its as these races are very good.
Fantasy Warhammer sounds like Dungeons and Dragons - but evil
Kinda true

That's kind of the point. Warhammer is this setting where everyone is evil, so you get to choose your own flavor of bad.

40k is more sociological, while fantasy is off the rails

Tho i do agree 40k is much more sociological i also think its much more off the rails. Like they rly be trying to be the worst people in the room sometimes. But i rly like the choose your own flavour of bad description.

What allows it to be so off the rails is how grandiose the world is. How do you make the statement of the Emperor's unbelievable power without involving multiple planets?

It having a wider scene than Fantasy is what it allows it to be so unhinged.

Killing a single planet for disrespect is only possible if there are millions of planets available. So Fantasy is limited in its immorality because the world is something totally different.

Depends on what is the material and which faction are you talking about. Each have their own thing, and it kinda depends on your viewpoint. You might agree with some things or disagree and thats makes the setting particulary dark as a lot of it is morally gray.

That is true. The scales being much higher as you have multiple start systems at play. Sigmar and Emperor have always been compared (same figure basically) but the emperor can hold across the entire galatic system the astropath while sigmar ... well lets say he just cant do that much but he was the only human to cross to the realm of the dead (and still come out alive) so based on the setting both are at their peak its just one peak is a bit more than the other.

To be frank, the concept of the God-Emperor is explored way better in 40k. I feel like the setting needs to be super out there for the God-Emperor to suit the name, plus, how awful does the world need to be for the God-Emperor to be the best option out there?

Humans have to nuke a planet to save the solar system as they cant beat their opponents. Aeldari created certain planets and left them be to grow so they could come back later and humans colonoised them and the Aeldari tried explaining to them the situation at first but humans didnt care so now they just kill humans on the planets that they made so that they could live there again (but they dont have to live on those planets they just kinda want to and believe they are much superior to us).
