Hi there, is anyone into crochet?

I don't do it often, but I like to pretend I crochet. I never do anything fancy with it, though I do like to try out different stitches. Mainly I attempt blankets and scarves, because those are generally pretty easy. I don't have a current project because I am not at home, but I think I'll start something new when I come back.

I've done crochet and knitting in the past and actually have been debating starting a project again but...it would mean opening the door to getting more yarn since I donated mine. I'm not sure if my one bedroom apartment is capable of handling an abundance of yarn lmao. Especially since I share it with two other people!

I've done a few scarfs, a few blankets, a few amigurumi, and a bag. Ironically, I prefer to do beanies the most but I actually prefer to knit them instead. For some reason, crocheting beanies or hats for me, just isn't the same? The amigurumi was....an experience lol I absolutely suck at keeping count of stitches! I ended up just dropping the pattern entirely and improvising.

What are you thinking of trying to start?

MORE YARN! Yes!!! ALL THE YARN!

I should make a scrap blanket, get rid of my yarn and start over :D All the yarns, and then get new ones.

Ha I will live vicariously through you, in the mean time if you do! I'll have to consider how to make space for it without it becoming full of cat hair too, if I end up getting more yarn lol

At this point my yarn is 50% cat hair  If I do end up crocheting again, I'll share pics!

.....yeah, okay, fair.

I definitely want to cause I'm thinking of all the stuff I've made in the past since we talked about this, especially because it's also helpful as a self care/coping tool. I might knit instead though xP. I can always make a different thread for it if I do, I guess.

And you better share pics! I wanna see.
