Can people who overuse italics die from the plague?

I swear on my hooker boots that something is wrong with people who need to italicize one phrase per sentence.
"I threw up in the toilet.
It was bad.
I fainted.
It was super duper embarrassing."
What the fuck
A fanfic is a 2/10 instantly if I see too much italicization.
"He needed it." Every other goddamn fic.
The worst part is when they don't even emphasize the right word.
Can people who overuse italics die from the plague?

It's. Well. It's worse than overuse of italics, it's *overuse* of *asterisks*. I wish *I* had the *gall* to show you *the fic* in *public*, but I don't want to point out specific people
It's much worse than this. An example from the pinned messages of a server I'm in, where we were shamelessly poking fun at it:

To * make it clear * --
("It -- flows better this way."
"Yeah....")
And add some breaks, just like this, and there is a cadence, the beginnings of * pacing * in the reader's head --

It really does. I read trash pretty often, you know. So if I won't read it, it means the fic actually belongs in a shit hole.
